The 4th Korea Refugee Film Festival
The 4th Korea Refugee Film Festival’s theme is “MEET AND GREET.” Refugees come to Korea to escape war, disaster, and persecution. But Korea, despite being the first East Asian country to enact refugee law, has a mere 2% rate of granting refugee status. During times of trouble, we are all encouraged simply by a friend who listens to our story and nods. At KRFF this year, give that encouragement to refugees, who had to leave their lives to embark on a life-risking journey here.
Pre-Event_ MEET AND GREET
On World Refugee Day, refugees will be hosting a cultural festival that they themselves have designed and prepared. Learn how to greet each other in a diverse array of languages, braid your hair at an African hair salon pop-up, try on traditional wear, walk with our parade in celebration of the festival, and more!
